A total of five buildings for kindergarden classes (3 to 5 year olds) in three hamlets in the Province of Quang Tri : 11,750 Euros or 9,100 US Dollars
Kindergarden No. 1:
Hamlet Long Dien, Village Hai Son, District Hai Lang, Province Quang Tri.
Population: 360 families with 112 children between the ages of 3 and
5 years old. 30% of these families fall below the poverty line as
defined in Vietnam as earning less then around 15 Euros a month.

These families have an official "Poor Families" card. A building exists but is in terrible condition with only a few tables and chairs and it can only hold 50 children. A plot has been chosen and set aside for the new building.
Construction cost: 55,000,000 Dong (2,750 Euros or 2,140 US Dollars) Local Participation: 5,000,000 Dong (250 Euros or 190 US Dollars) Financing from Pix-Aid 50,000,000 Dong (2,500 Euros or 1,950 US Dollars)
Duration of construction: 2 or 3 months from reception of funds
Parents will pay 20,000 Dong per month (1 Euros or 78 US cents) to cover the teacher's salary and school supplies. They pay an additional 2,000 Dong per day for one meal at noon for their child.
Kindergarden No. 2:

Population:
1,335 families with 380 children between the ages of 3
and 5 years old. 24.3% of the population lives below the poverty line.
Parents are motivated to help out in construction and any money they
can spare and have set out a plot where they will build up land in a
rice field in order to build the new school. The cost of banking up the soil and leveling will be taken care of by
the government and will be at the level of the nearby road to avoid
flooding.

Parents will pay 18,000 dong per month (0.90 Euros or 0.70 US cents) to cover the teacher's salary and school supplies. In addition, they will pay 2,500 Dong per day for 2 meals for their children and 6,000 Dong per year (0.30 Euros or 0.23 US cents) for electricity and upkeep of the building.
Kindergarden No. 3:
Hamlet Vuc Ke, Village Hai Chanh, District Hai Lang, Province Quang Tri
Population:
230 Families with 80 children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old. 30% of the families are classified as poor. The plot has been set aside for construction.
Construction is for two buildings Construction costs: waiting for budget plans but estimated at 100,000,000 Dong (5,000 Euros or 3,875 US Dollars) Waiting for estimates on how much the villagers can participate in the project.
Duration of construction: 2 or 3 months from reception of funds.
Parents will pay 20,000 dong per month (1 Euros or 78 US cents) to cover the teacher's salary and school supplies. There is no food service forseen.
